Slow Death is a four piece band from the United States. Their debut album ”Hate Filled World” was released in June through Corpse Flower Records. Recorded back in August of 2016 at Dead Air Studios, this album includes eight songs. So let us waste no more time. Let’s press play. First song is called ”Daggers of Hate”. When i listened to this song for the first time i was like ”o.k gentlemen you now have my full attention”. This is a cool song no doubt. Nasty hardcore punk mixed with  noise rock. And i can tell you that the rest of the album’s songs didn’t let me down at all. I’m talking about songs like ”Suicide Man”. This is one of my favourite songs from this album. You’ll even find some blastbeasts in this song. I also liked ”Midnight Black” a lot. Put this song in your current playlist. Put ”Blade Runs Red” as well. Last but not least we find ”Three On A Meathook”. Lyrically the band gets a lot of inspiration from old horror movies, something that will become clear to you if you check out the titles and of course the lyrics of their songs. But that makes the album sound even darker and in my opinion heavier. Overall i’d like to say that i enjoyed this album. And, yes, i would definitely like to recommend it. No Funeral/ Livid – Split

No Funeral and Livid are two bands from the United States. Their split album will be released on the 15th of August through Live Fast Die Recordings. Three tracks are will be included in this release. No Funeral contribute with two tracks and Livid with one. The first two tracks come from No Funeral. This is vicious, brutal sludge that finally found its way to my soundsystem. ”Infection” and ”Disease Brought By Depression” are of course heavy as hell. Pulverising riffs along with concrete basslines and agonizing vocals will accompany you in a journey through murky and dystopic soundscapes. Now Livid is a different story. Their style of music is more closer to doom than sludge. They kinda reminded me of old Paradise Lost . Their track is called ”False Hope”. I can’t say i loved it but i didn’t hate it as well. You can certainly trace some nice riffs. Nevertheless i’ve heard stuff like that many times in the past. As it has already been mentioned this split will see release on the 15th of August. Here’s a link where you can also give it a listen. Have you already heard this album? What did you think? Feel free to leave a comment in the comment section.

Geist is a five piece band from the U.K. Their new album ”Disrepair” will be released on the 22nd of of September through Wooaaargh Records. Recorded by Jason Frye at Century Audio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege Studios, this album includes six tracks. Geist’s music is a mixture of metal, hardcore punk and crust. The aforementioned are key ingredients to create something special. Inspired by bands like Converge, Trap Them and Cursed, Geist have managed to present us an album of heavy and uncompromising music. The album starts greatly with ”Painkillers”. This is good ol’ hardcore we’ re talking about and i think hardcore fans are gonna love it. Same goes for ”Dear World”. ”Services Rendered” is my favourite track from ”Disrepair”. I really dig this one and i urge all of you to give it a listen. To be honest i liked all of the album’s tracks. This is edgy, metallic hardcore and the truth is we love this kind of stuff here. So the question is what do i think about this album by Geist? Well, i loved it, i’m definitelly down with it, therefore i would like to recommend it. As it has already been mentioned, the album goes out on September 22. In the meantime check out this link.
