Bison is a four piece band from Canada. Their new, full legth album ”You Are Not The Ocean You Are The Patient” which was released in Europe on the 23rd of June, will be released in North America on the 7th of July. That’s a rather odd album title, don’t you think? I simply didn’t get it. Let’s see though what we’ve got here. Seven tracks are included in this album. Back in May the band had shared one of the album’s tracks, namely ”Tantrum”. That was a cool track no doubt. But of course all of the album’s tracks are seriously heavy. It begins with ”Until the earth is empty”. This song sets the tune. In my opinion it is beyond good and i’m sure that the fans are gonna love it. ”Anti War” is the album’s second track. I think this track stands out for its nice riffs and concrete basslines. ”Drunkard” is a song that is filled with immense groove. You should definitely check out this one. Moving on we find we find ”Kenopsia”. First of all i’ll admit i loved this song’s intro. Neverthless the rest of the song didn’t let me down at all. ”Tantrum” is one of my favourite tracks from Bison’s new album. Same goes for ”Raiigin”. Heavy like a sledgehammer, this song needs to be played loud. Last but not least we find ”The water becomes fire”. This is more of an atmospheric song and an excellent outro for this album. Overall these seven tracks form an album that definitely deserves your attention. In my opinion the band surely delivered. And i have to say i couldn’t find a mediocre moment here. I personally enjoyed this album thus i’d like to recommend it.
