I Am is a five piece, metallic hardcore band from the United States. ”Life Through Torment”, which was released on the 10th of February, is their debut, full length album. It was recorded, produced and mixed by Ryan Harvey at Red Oak Collective. Ten tracks are included in this album. So let’s just press play. Let’s do this. First of all i’d like to stand on the album’s production and that’s because it sounds awesome. They have managed to mix hardcore, death metal and a bit of sludge. And what does this mean? Well, it means that this album sounds ultra heavy and trully inspired i have to say. In my opinion, ”Life Through Torment” incorporates all these elements that make this music so lovable to us. Nice death metal growls, cool guitar solos and concrete basslines. You can also add some cataclysmic, beatdown hardcore to the aforementioned. Even some eerie, melodic parts can be found here. Rest assure, the more you listen to this album the more exciting stuff you’ll come across with. It’s definitely an album worth checking out and i also believe that many of the album’s songs are going to become part of your current playlist. We don’t have a grading scale here but if had one then this would be an 8 out of 10. Here’s a link where you can also listen to ”Life Through Torment”.
