The Dillinger Escape Plan – Dissociation

Good day to all. We’ re back with a new review. I don’t think this band needs any introduction. Yes, i’m talking about the Dillinger Escape Plan. ”Dissociation”, which was released this October, is their final, full length album and that definitely sucks. I don’t like the fact that they decided to call it quits but i have to respect their decision.

I’ve been a fan of this band not from day 1 but from the first time i heard ”Calculating Infinity”. It was a great record no doubt. And the thing is this band evolved and they didn’t stop experimenting. They certainly produced some excellent albums. Personally i have some mixed feelings about ”Dissociation”. I like this album a lot but unfortunatelly as you all know it is their last album. I don’t like saying farewell or stuff like that but let’s see what we’ve got here. Eleven tracks are included in this album. It starts with a kick-ass song called ”Limerent Death”. I think that die hards fans are gonna like this one. I’m down with ”Symptom of Terminal Illness” as well. But who am i kidding? I’m here for songs like ”Wanting not so much to as to”. I loved its jazzy and chaotic vibe. Rest assure you will not find a dissapointing song here. It’s as if the band decided to make a such a memorable and glorious exit that it would be remembered in the years to come. And in my opinion they were quite successful at this.

”Dissociation” is another excellent album by the Dillinger Escape Plan. O.k perhaps not their best album but still it’s a great one. They will certainly be missed.
